1. What this site is

LipeWin publishes general educational information about lipedema and related conditions, and links to a separate self-tracking application. By using this site you accept the terms below.

2. Not medical advice

This is the important one. Everything on this site is general information. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment plan, and it does not create a doctor–patient relationship of any kind.

Lipedema is frequently confused with lymphoedema, venous disease, obesity and several other conditions, some of which need urgent and quite different treatment. Do not use this site to decide what you have, and do not delay seeing a clinician because of something you read here. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your own body before starting, stopping or changing any diet, exercise, compression, manual therapy, medication or surgical treatment.

If you have sudden swelling in one leg, chest pain, shortness of breath, a hot red painful limb, or any other acute symptom, seek emergency care immediately rather than reading.

3. Accuracy

We write from published clinical literature and patient-organisation guidance and we correct errors when we find them, but medicine moves and articles age. Nothing here is guaranteed to be complete or current, and an article is not a substitute for the judgement of a clinician who has examined you.

4. External links

Where we link to another organisation, study or clinic, we do not control that content and linking is not an endorsement.

5. The app

The LipeWin tracking application is provided separately and under its own terms, which you accept when you create an account there.

6. Content

The articles, images and design on this site belong to LipeWin or are used under licence. You may quote and link to articles freely with attribution. Please do not republish them in full.

7. Liability

This site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or harm arising from a decision made on the basis of something published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes

These terms may change. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
